Blue-billed Curassow Scarf
Blue-billed Curassow Scarf
This lush scarf is adorned with the blue-billed curassow, which is black with white feathers on its rear underbelly and at the tip of its tail. Also depicted are a variety of fruits from Columbia, South America, like figs and bright seeds. Scientifically known as the Crax alberti, this bird is an endangered species. Today, the entire wild population occurs in just a few small remnant areas of tropical lowland forest. They are lovely, sharing food with each other as they scavenge the forest floor.
This scarf comes in two types of fabrics: 1) Georgette silk which is a 100% natural fabric with a gossamer appearance. It is vaguely transparent with a beautiful, intense colorful print; 2) Mulmul muslin which is a super soft fabric with the lightness and softness of cotton, but more durable. Mulmul has a naturally loose yarn, which has a slightly more rustic aesthetic.
